- Must be meticulous and ensure that all tasks are executed accurately and safely, potentially hundreds of times.
- Completes all daily assigned responsibilities safely within designated timeframes.
- Immediately reports any substandard or inferior quality products to a supervisor or higher authority upon detection.
- Practices proper food handling in accordance with health regulations and standards.
- Communicates any facility needs or equipment malfunctions to a supervisor or manager as soon as they are observed.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of pertinent information while adhering to applicable laws and guidelines.
- Must be capable of passing the Serv Safe Exam.
- Coordinates activities with fellow line cooks to ensure timely meal delivery.
- Adheres to standard recipes for food preparation, testing cooked items to ensure they are properly cooked and seasoned.
- Assesses cooking methods, times, and temperatures to prevent over or under production.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills when working with diverse individuals and varying levels of authority.
- Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Participates in the routine preparation and cooking of meals.
- Assists in maintaining kitchen and dining area equipment and utensils in a safe and sanitary condition.
- Receives food deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and storage to avoid spoilage.
- Performs additional duties of a similar or related nature as required or assigned.
- Possesses a foundational understanding of kitchen operations and workflow, including dishwashing processes.
- Exhibits advanced cooking skills, knife handling proficiency, and food identification and preparation skills.
May require exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Prolonged standing and walking with mobility is necessary. Bending and reaching from a height of up to 6 feet is required. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds without hindrance. Normal hearing, vision, hand/eye coordination, and manual dexterity are essential.
