At Indio Management, we're committed to providing exceptional service and a comfortable living environment for our residents. As a key member of our team, the Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring our properties are well-maintained and ready for occupancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vacant apartments and complete make-ready tasks within 24 hours.
  • Perform maintenance duties to restore apartments to a 'made ready' status.
  • Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
  • Replace or repair windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors, and closets.
  • Check appliances and inform the Service Technician or Service Manager of any issues.
  • Assist with changing or removing appliances from apartments.
  • Install, repair, and re-key locks.
  • Check faucets, sink plugs, and repair or replace as necessary.
  • Perform exterior repairs to sinks, bathtubs, etc., when needed.
  • Paint and repair walls, doors, ceiling, and other internal and external objects.
  • Transfer paint from storage areas to apartment units when painting is scheduled.
  • Repair or replace curtains, mini-blinds, ceiling fans, etc.
  • Repair plaster holes in walls and paint as necessary.
  • Inspect bathroom tiles and perform minor repairs or replacements.
  • Change A/C filters.
  • Diagnose problems and make minor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
  • Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers.
  • Assist with keeping grounds clean and maintaining a positive appearance.
  • Assist maintenance when requested.
  • Deliver notices to apartments when needed.
  • Be available to work overtime, days, nights, evenings, and weekends as necessary.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or general equivalent degree (GED).
  • Six months of previous experience in maintenance or facilities.
  • Previous experience in residential property management is a plus.
