The expected salary range for this position is $130,500 to $145,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The role requires a high level of expertise and in-depth knowledge in executing tasks related to the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed modifications of plant-specific nuclear licensed Operations training programs.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Enhances station and personnel performance through effective training initiatives. Coordinates and delivers performance-based licensed or non-licensed training programs as dictated by the user community, adhering to Constellation's Training System Development model and departmental procedures.
  • Ensures training programs remain current by integrating insights from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, Constellation Nuclear Event Reports, NRC Circulars, Bulletins, and Information Notices, as well as updates from plant design changes, procedure revisions, and training effectiveness assessments.
  • Develops trainee assessments and conducts evaluations across various training environments, including classroom, laboratory, on-the-job training, and simulation, while providing guidance and recommending tailored training programs based on evaluation outcomes.
  • Supports the station and fleet in business initiatives, project management, refueling outages, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
  • Participates in audits conducted by the NRC, INPO, and management, preparing responses to audit findings as necessary.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of plant operations and relevant skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality training.
  • Oversees the collection and maintenance of training records and reports to document training program activities accurately.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possession of a current or previous senior reactor operator license, or
  • Experience as a reactor operator with a minimum of 4 years in the industry (must obtain senior reactor operator certification within 18 months), or
  • Senior reactor operator certification with at least 4 years of related industry experience and 6 months of demonstrated teaching experience in licensed operator training or instructor-led training.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as science, engineering, or education/training.
  • Current or previous senior reactor operator license, or
  • Senior reactor operator certification with 6+ years of related industry experience and 6 months of proven teaching experience in licensed operator training or instructor-led training.
