About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Utility Sector team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing electrical utility capital projects, including substation upgrades, transmission line upgrades, hydro projects, Smart Grids, environmental compliance work, and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project execution plans and revise as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Provide primary daily point of contact to clients, contractors, and consultants at project level.
  • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
  • Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Minimize AtkinsRéalis' exposure and risk on project.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
  • Support manager in providing regular forecast and expense updates to project budget.
  • Support manager in determining appropriate revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and monitoring project receivables.
  • Manage and review consultant invoices on behalf of the client.
  • Follow up with clients and consultants, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
  • Support manager in developing project accounting forecasts and summaries.
  • Reviews the Project Status Report (PSR) and general financial reporting required to generate client cost reports.
  • Support manager in forecasting revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization.
  • Effectively pursues the execution and filing of project legal documents.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in utility project management.
  • Bachelor's degree, Engineering or MBA preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.
  • Professional Engineering licenses optional.
