About This Role

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of large technology and innovation projects across 5 shuttle RSCs. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying solutions, building business cases, developing project plans and schedules, and leading cross-functional teams to manage implementation from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ultimate responsibility for shuttle maintenance program success
  • Develop the shuttle maintenance program, with site leads, at each RSC and across RSC's. Create implementation and transition plans at each site, as needed.
  • Work closely with the teams at each ASRS site, Ace corporate, and Dematic to establish proper maintenance programs and responsibilities. Serve as liaison between site teams, Ace corporate, and Dematic for technical, engineering, or other additional services required.
  • Identify new material handling technology and innovation solutions.
  • Develop Business Cases, budgets and schedules.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationship with integrators, material handling and software vendors.
  • Manage project team (engineers and field operators) in the successful implementation of RSC material handling and technology projects on time and within budget.
  • Assess RSC Change Management readiness, develop Change Management plan and materials, and conduct change management training/ exercises.
  • Engineer, design and layout Retail Support Center equipment systems for new and existing facilities.
  • Train RSC management to identify process waste, prioritize improvement values, and develop improvement solutions.

Requirements

  • 33% travel required (higher in first year or two, while program is developed)
  • 10+ years of project management experience
  • 10+ years of maintenance experience, either directly or in a corporate engineering role
  • 10+ years of management experience
  • 10+ years in the material handling or distribution industries
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and direct remote distributed work groups.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and organization and team building skills
  • Ability to lead projects with diverse, cross functional groups consisting of subject matter experts in their respective fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
