Academic Research Postdoctoral Fellowships

Program Overview
The Postdoctoral Fellowships for Academic Diversity are competitive programs designed to increase the diversity of the academic research community at a leading research institution. The program aims to attract promising researchers and educators from diverse backgrounds, races, ethnic groups, and other underrepresented populations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents
- Graduate students from the institution and other institutions who have completed or will complete their requirements for Ph.D. by the fellowship start date
- Postdoctoral scholars from other institutions who have completed their dissertation within the last three years
- Professional applicants within a year of completing their post-degree professional training
- Postdocs, residents, and fellows who currently have a position at the institution are ineligible for this program
Benefits and Support
- Fellows will receive a stipend of $54,000 per year for three years
- Annual allowances for travel ($2,000) and research ($5,000)
- A one-time relocation expense of up to $5,000
- A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, dental, and life insurance
Program Goals
The program is designed to provide postdocs with time to focus on research and publishing activities that will enhance their career prospects for a faculty appointment in an academic institution or other sectors of the economy. Successful candidates will receive highly mentored scholarly and research training, as well as courses and workshops to enhance their research skills and prepare them for faculty positions.
