Position: Veterinary Technician - Emergency Nurse


We are expanding our team and seeking a Veterinary Nurse (Vet Tech) with a minimum of two years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine to join our Emergency Department.

Current CVT/LVT/RVT certification is preferred or an equivalent educational background.

The overnight schedule available is:
Thursday through Saturday, 8 PM - 8 AM (
SIGN ON BONUS)

*For candidates lacking two years of emergency experience but possessing the necessary education and a strong desire to enhance their skills, we encourage you to inquire about Metropolitan's Talent Management Program.*

Your skills and how you will apply them to assist our patients:
- Experience in emergency veterinary medicine
- Comprehensive knowledge of basic small animal medicine (including pharmacology, proper restraint/handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medications, and disease processes
- Attention to detail and a composed demeanor
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills
- Triage – identify emergencies and illnesses
- Administer various treatments for both in-house and outpatient cases

Anesthesia Responsibilities:
- Induction, monitoring, troubleshooting, and recovery of patients
- Administer medications
- Assist in medical procedures
- Positioning and capturing radiographs
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members (both verbally and in writing)
