Lead and Shape Psychiatric Care at Wellpath
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director to oversee our comprehensive psychiatric care program. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for guiding clinical practices, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities:- Clinical Excellence: Provide direct psychiatric care to patients, including evaluations, treatment planning, and psychotherapy. Maintain expertise in current best practices and adhere to all state and federal regulations.
- Leadership & Supervision: Supervise the work of our talented team of psychiatrists and ensure adherence to established protocols. Represent Wellpath on committees, projects, and initiatives, actively participating in multidisciplinary teams and court proceedings.
- Quality Assurance & Improvement: Lead peer reviews, oversee clinically based performance improvement (PI) projects, and conduct chart reviews and mortality reviews to enhance the quality of care delivered.
- Physician Development: Manage physician recruitment and retention efforts, including evaluating clinical competency and performance. Coordinate medical student rotations, providing orientation, lectures, and training opportunities.
- Collaboration & Advocacy: Liaise effectively with families, advocates, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
