Job Title: Special Education Teacher Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Education Teacher Supervisor to join our team at Pyramid Healthcare Inc. As a key member of our school leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising teachers, developing and training staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality education programs for students with autism and emotional support needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of teachers to ensure the delivery of effective instruction and engagement practices.
  • Develop and implement training programs for teachers to enhance their skills and knowledge in special education.
  • Collaborate with the behavior specialist, clinical specialist, and other staff members to design and implement effective plans for students.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for students and staff.
  • Observe and provide feedback to teachers on their instructional practices.
  • Support the director with communication and coordination with classroom staff, parents, and outside agencies.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Train teachers to use assessments and assessment data to inform instruction and develop IEPs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide support to teachers and families.
  • Review and revise IEPs to ensure compliance with quality measures and timelines.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve teacher effectiveness and student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the school leadership team to drive continuous improvement and excellence in education programs.

Requirements:

  • PA teaching certification in special education.
  • 2-4 years of teaching experience in autism support and/or emotional support.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in an objective and ethical manner.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
