Position Overview
The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital is responsible for independently planning and delivering nursing care to patients, adhering to physician directives and established protocols. This role aligns with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association's (ANA) standards of nursing practice. The definition of nursing encompasses the protection, promotion, and optimization of health, prevention of illness, and advocacy for individuals and communities.
Key Responsibilities
The Staff RN III will manage the care of a designated group of patients, reflecting the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. The nursing practice here emphasizes:
1. **Clinical Expertise**: Proficient in assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Qualifications
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and a valid RN license in Georgia without restrictions.
- At least one year of full-time nursing experience following orientation or residency.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Additional certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) may be required based on the clinical unit.
- Refer to the specific clinical unit for further educational and competency requirements.
- Unit-specific RN attributes may also be necessary.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- National Certification in a Clinical Specialty is preferred.
- Additional preferred RN attributes may vary by unit.
