Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Social Work Specialist to join our team at Cook Children's Health Care System. As a Social Work Specialist, you will work in the Emergency Department to provide critical support to children and families coping with acute or chronic medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

* Provide psychosocial assessments and interventions to patients and families
* Develop and implement individualized care plans to address the unique needs of each patient
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
* Make referrals to outside agencies for families in need of additional support

Requirements:

* Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
* Current Texas License for LMSW
* Previous experience working in a hospital setting preferred
* Demonstrated experience working with children and their families preferred
* Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for Health Care Providers
