Job Summary

We're seeking passionate and empathic Hospice Nurses to join our growing Hospice Care Teams across the Los Angeles region. As a Registered Nurse, you'll see the value of hospice care in alleviating pain and suffering, and supporting our patients in having a dignified death.

Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive assessments of patients and families to determine hospice needs
  • Develop care plans that establish goals, based on nursing diagnosis and incorporate palliative nursing actions
  • Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures, administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
  • Assist patients and families with health care instructions and activities of daily living to facilitate self-sufficiency and optimal comfort care
  • Complete accurate and relevant clinical notes, communicate with community health-related persons to coordinate care plans
  • Attend Interdisciplinary Group Meetings, participate in on-call duties, and ensure arrangements for equipment and services
  • Supervise ancillary personnel, delegate responsibilities, and actively participate in quality assessment performance improvement teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and current RN license and CPR certification
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a professional nurse, at least one of which is in the area of home care or hospice
  • Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements
  • Ability to handle prolonged standing or walking, lift, position, and/or transfer patients, and complete considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and/or crouching
