The Asset Care Excellence Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our assets. This position is responsible for overseeing asset maintenance, reliability, and outage scope guidance, as well as providing technical expertise to production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply the principles of Asset Care Excellence to ensure safe operation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement maintenance systems and programs to ensure efficient operation and meet regulatory requirements.
- Conduct Pareto analyses of maintenance costs and repair frequencies to identify underperforming assets and develop measures for improvement or replacement.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to drive reliability and maintenance initiatives.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports summarizing major maintenance, reliability activities, and ongoing capital projects.
- Lead the capital project input and budgeting process for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Execute maintenance work orders to ensure work quality metrics are met and operators are reporting all plant issues.
- Lead and coordinate Root Cause Analysis investigations for significant reliability incidents to ensure corrective actions are assigned and tracked.
- Manage mechanical equipment-related maintenance not covered by the Mechanical Integrity program, including plant, workshop, inventory, clerical, and planning activities.
- Coordinate plant changes to improve OEE, yields, reliability, and process quality, collaborating with Maintenance, Production, or other departments.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Experience within the chemical, process, or petrochemical industry.
- Experience working with production personnel, with the ability to teach and mentor production and maintenance teams.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
