Responsibilities- Conduct scientific research and experiments in the field of pharmacology, with a focus on experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
- Develop and implement methodological approaches to ensure rigor and reproducibility of results.
- Engage in scientific discussion and critical thinking, incorporating previous and current scientific results to design experiments and contribute to the neuroscience field.
- Logically organize new ideas and integrate expertise with new knowledge to design experiments that are simple, cost-effective, and provide easy-to-interpret results.
- Describe detailed components related to the implementation of methodological approaches and list control and experimental groups that fall within the scope of the research project.
- Ask questions and demonstrate adequate problem-solving abilities.
- Disseminate research findings clearly, concisely, accurately, and objectively, and demonstrate expertise and professionalism during question and answer sessions.
- Identify characteristics of good oral presentations and justify their importance.
- Participate in analysis of lab safety events and offer error prevention strategies.
- Conduct analysis of test species safety events and offer error prevention strategies.
- Describe how components of a complex research system are interrelated and how this impacts research productivity and rigor and reproducibility.
- Identify barriers to research in different research systems and demonstrate use of information technology and documentation required for research practice.
- Discuss how individual research affects the broader system and engage with colleagues in shared decision making and advocate for appropriate conduct of research.
- A PhD in Pharmacology is required for this position.
- Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
