We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mobile Home Project Attorney to lead our efforts in protecting the rights of mobile homeowners and promoting housing justice in Colorado.

We partner with individuals and communities to build economic and racial equity, confronting economic abuse and investing in community wealth. Our work focuses on eviction defense, mobile home law, and related litigation experience.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mobile Home Project Attorney, leading our efforts in mobile home park evictions, replevin defense, habitability, and other cases protecting mobile homeownership. You will manage a significant caseload of 10-40 active cases, maintain a regular schedule of hearings and court appearances, and provide advice and counsel to community members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of 10-40 active cases, including mobile home park evictions, replevin defense, habitability, and other cases protecting mobile homeownership
  • Maintain a regular schedule of hearings and court appearances
  • Provide advice and counsel to community members on mobile home law and related issues
  • Lead program administrative work, including developing and maintaining policies for intake forms and representation agreements
  • Coordinate with colleagues to ensure timely tracking and reporting of case completions
  • Set overall goals and priorities for the Mobile Homeowner Project
  • Supervise paralegal staff and other support personnel, as needed

Requirements

  • Colorado bar admission and JD
  • 3+ years' experience in eviction defense, mobile home law, housing law, or related litigation experience
  • 1+ years experience managing, leading, or mentoring individuals and/or teams
  • Ability to manage a significant caseload of mobile home defense cases
  • Demonstrated passion for social and racial justice
  • Robust research and drafting capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
