Are you passionate about contributing to national security through educational and operational excellence? Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking dedicated professionals to support the Full Mission Profile Exercise (FMPX) Program as part of the Operations Support Staff/Explosive Ordinance Disposal (OSS/EOD) team. This role involves providing comprehensive support to the Marine Special Operations Team (MSOT) and the Marine Raider Regiment (MRR) within the U.S. Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC).
The OSS/EOD will work collaboratively with active-duty personnel to ensure that all training and exercises meet the highest standards of readiness for deployment in diverse operational environments. Your expertise will be essential in assisting the FMPX Staff Lead and the unit training and operations section by utilizing advanced methods such as Joint Network Analysis & Targeting (JNAT) and the ADDIE instructional design model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the FMPX & JNAT-SL, unit Operations and Training chiefs, and internal analysts to enhance the unit training management program.
- Leverage tactical and operational EOD knowledge to create realistic training materials for FMPX events.
- Assist in the planning and design of training exercises to meet MARSOC leadership requirements.
- Support the execution and assessment of individual and collective training events as an OSS/EOD staff member.
- Work with subject matter experts to identify training needs based on Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and pre-deployment requirements.
- Conduct training sessions in both classroom and field environments.
- Train as a JNAT Instructor and support JNAT courses post-training.
- Conduct instructional research and analysis on both learners and facilitators.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in instructional design theories and methodologies.
- Experience in analytical and evaluative techniques for conducting studies and analyzing results.
- Graduate of the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD).
- Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. Marine Special Operations Command units.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a high degree of discretion.
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Five years of relevant experience, including prior roles as a USMARSOC instructor.
- Experience in conducting assessments and performance evaluations.
- Familiarity with strategic planning and instructional development activities.
- Experience in multinational and Joint Operations is preferred.
Work Environment:
- Primarily a garrison environment with occasional field/tactical assignments.
- Flexibility for extended hours as needed.
Travel Requirements:
- Domestic travel may be necessary for training and program coordination, up to 15-25%.
