Job Summary

UNC Health is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Tech to join our team. As an integral part of our Interventional Radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging support during interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic and interventional oncology, cardiothoracic, neuro, abdominal, vascular, and vascular surgery imaging support.
  • Operate single-plane and bi-plane digital imaging systems, ultrasound, CT scan, IVUS, power injector, AngioJet, Penumbra, EKOS, CT fusion, iGuide technology, radiofrequency, microwave, and cryoablation equipment.
  • Assist physicians with procedural setup, patient positioning, and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Prepare patients for procedures using sterile technique and assist with administration and documentation of regulated pharmaceuticals.
  • Ensure proper primary and secondary procedural coding, image manipulation, and transmission to IMPAX.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification -or- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
