Event Service Associate

Position: Event Service Associate

Hours: Part-time

Compensation: $15/hour

The Event Service Associate is responsible for the preparation and execution of banquets and receptions. This role involves serving menu items in accordance with the Banquet Event Order (BEO), clearing tables post-service, and assisting in the dismantling of events. As a representative of the Food & Beverage department, exceptional customer service skills and a positive demeanor are essential. This position is part-time, with hours determined by the event schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Arrive at work punctually in the designated uniform

+ Familiarize yourself with the BEO to ensure proper setup

+ Arrange tables in the assigned area accurately and uniformly

+ Welcome and serve guests in accordance with established food and beverage service policies

+ Deliver plated meals to designated areas

+ Transport large trays carrying up to eight (8) plated meals from service areas to dining locations

+ Support the Lead Server or Supervisor in setting up and dismantling buffet or special food service stations and equipment

+ Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

+ Previous experience in the food service sector is preferred

+ Understanding of proper serving techniques is crucial

+ Ability to work independently while maintaining focus and attention to detail

+ Adhere to personal hygiene and health department standards

+ Strong organizational skills and a commitment to customer service

+ Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and also work autonomously

+ Capacity to thrive under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment

+ Awareness of basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role necessitates frequent stooping, lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods. Candidates must be able to lift up to 40lbs regularly.

DRESS CODE

Professional service attire is required on event days, including a black long-sleeve button-down shirt with a collar, black pants without holes, black socks or stockings, and black non-slip shoes. Casual dress is permitted on non-event days (no sweatpants or workout attire). Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be utilized as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ Reliable transportation is necessary

+ Successful completion of a background check is required
