Job Overview

Battle Motors is a leading manufacturer of electric vehicles, and we are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Lead Technician to join our team. This role is based in New Philadelphia, Ohio.

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of $95,000, depending on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of electrical technicians, ensuring the efficient diagnosis and repair of high and low voltage electrical subsystems. This involves mentoring and training new technicians, assigning daily tasks, and collaborating with engineering and production associates.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in electrical systems troubleshooting and repairing, with strong knowledge of high and low voltage automotive systems. An Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred but not required.

  • Lead team of electrical technicians
  • Assign and direct daily tasks for technicians
  • Mentor and train new technicians
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Draw wiring schematics to use for troubleshooting
  • Build harnesses and cables as required to support troubleshooting and manufacturing
  • Support engineering to troubleshoot trucks
  • Create work instructions and training for the production line personnel
  • Provide guidance for high and low voltage diagnosing strategies
  • Create troubleshooting and diagnosing instructions for new products and provide training for warranty and field service personnel
  • Perform annual performance reviews
  • Support engineering to troubleshoot trucks on the line and in the field
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering during the new product development phases and provide testing and validation support
  • Willing to travel approximately 10%
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical system design, safety, EMI, EMC, HVIL
  • Experience in harness certification for IEEE, SAE, and EMI standards
  • Understanding of high voltage energy storage and charge systems in EVs
  • Familiarity with related regulations, FMVSS/SAE standards, and practices
