Key Responsibilities
  • Grounds Maintenance: Under direct supervision, you will maintain the grounds by trimming lawns, removing leaves and debris, and performing other related duties.
  • Lawn Care: You will care for established lawns, decorate gardens with stones and plants, and dispose of trash and debris.
  • Equipment Operation: You will operate and maintain grounds equipment as necessary, including power mowers and edgers.
  • Landscaping: You will haul or spread topsoil, and spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place. You will also make improvements to walks, lanes, sheds, and benches, including painting and minor repairs.
  • Pest Control: You will mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
  • Plant Care: You will plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.
  • Preventive Maintenance: You will provide preventive maintenance pertaining to grounds area and/or state cemeteries or park facilities.

Requirements: A valid driver's license is required for this position.
