Position Overview
As a Retail Sales Representative, you will embody the company's commitment to exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibility will be to achieve sales targets while adhering to company policies and procedures. You will set a standard for your peers through your dedication to accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks. Collaboratively, you will strive to present the store and its offerings in the most appealing manner to our clientele.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver an outstanding shopping experience by following company service standards. Maintain a positive demeanor and be well-informed to assist customers effectively.
2. Stay updated on current promotions and sales initiatives.
3. Ensure merchandise is displayed attractively and organized properly, maintaining cleanliness throughout the store.
4. Acquire and apply essential product knowledge and fitting skills to assist customers.
5. Be vigilant regarding Loss Prevention issues involving both customers and staff.
6. Participate in inventory counts, assist with receiving shipments, and help with product placement on the sales floor as necessary.
7. Process transactions accurately and in accordance with established policies, ensuring all items are checked for completeness.
Essential Relationships
Engage with customers, fellow Sales Representatives, Store Management, and District/Regional Managers to foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Basic communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, along with organizational and mathematical abilities.
- Previous experience in retail sales, ideally in specialty retail or footwear.
- Familiarity with company policies and procedures.
- Basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of store presentation standards.
