Position Overview

Are you ready to take on the role of a Transportation Engineer at Robinson Engineering, Ltd.? In this position, you will engage in comprehensive transportation projects, contributing to their development from inception to completion. Your work will significantly influence various communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all stages of transportation initiatives, ensuring successful execution from start to finish.
  • Lead the technical design aspects of transportation projects, which encompass roadway geometry, utility and drainage planning, hydraulic modeling, traffic maintenance strategies, traffic analysis, signal design, and public engagement.
  • Assess design plans to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with municipal clients, utility districts, and state agencies to foster effective communication.
  • Participate in industry conferences and events to promote the firm's services and enhance visibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of an active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois.
  • Experience in roadway design for municipalities and counties.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
