Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology trained physician to provide high-quality patient care and deliver Cardiology services, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Must have one to three years of cardiology clinical experience in an outpatient setting.

    Possess the ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of cardiology conditions and improve patient outcomes.

    Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to ensure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.

    Adopt a patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience.

    Possess excellent communication skills.

    Show interest in Population Health Management.

    Responsibilities:

    Review patient's medical history and perform physical examination.

    Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care for disorders and diseases of the cardiovascular system.

    Perform a wide range of non-invasive Cardiology procedures.

    Diagnose patients with the aid of diagnostic images, electrocardiograph recordings, and other testing.

    Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.

    Recommend suitable management for the patient, including but not limited to, preventive health recommendations and habits.

    Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account the patient's psychosocial and physical needs.

    Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

    Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care.

    Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
  • Early prevention screenings for heart disease, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease, and peripheral vascular disease testing.

    Echocardiography and Stress Echo testing.

    Pacemaker and Defibrillator monitoring.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or foreign equivalent.

Completion of four-year postgraduate medical training from an accredited residency program in the area of practice and three years of cardiology fellowship training.

Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers.

Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiology Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, or Echocardiography with a preference for Level II or Level III COCATS certification.

Must possess a current, unrestricted New York State license.

Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.

Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.

BLS or ACLS certification required (both strongly preferred).

Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
