Job Title: Clinical Social Worker LCSW Psychiatry

Join Dignity Health as a Clinical Social Worker LCSW Psychiatry and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in our Behavioral Health department.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Social Worker LCSW Psychiatry to provide clinical social work services to adult and geriatric patients and their families in our inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health departments. As a member of our team, you will utilize psychotherapeutic techniques to promote interpersonal relationships and achieve more adequate, satisfying, and productive adjustments.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement age and disability appropriate psychosocial treatment plans related to personal and family adjustment and continuity of care needs.
  • Provide information, referrals, and liaison activities with third-party payors and community resources necessary for patients' post-hospital needs.
  • Participate in conferences/staffings and consultations with the team to provide information and make recommendations for patients' treatment, discharge planning, and milieu management.
  • Prepare timely medical record documentation of social work services.
  • Request consultation from supervisor as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in social work from an accredited program.
  • Advanced degree with field placement or job experience in hospital, health, mental health, or related setting.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
  • Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients' status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
  • Bilingual Ability (Spanish & English) desirable.
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior class required.
  • Must be California State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
  • Must maintain current Fire Safety cards.
