Position Overview

Peraton is looking for skilled Network Operations Administrators to join our team supporting the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

The primary objective of this role is to deliver comprehensive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and its associated commands. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining network operations, ensuring the integrity of systems and network infrastructure, and providing essential support to end users.

The Network Operations Administrator will engage in Tier one and two network support, adhering to established operational directives. Responsibilities include:
  • Administering and managing Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems.
  • Utilizing technical expertise in various network protocols, software, and hardware.
  • Conducting troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve network issues effectively.
  • Generating monitoring reports and maintaining equipment logs to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Collaborating with team members to identify and document long-term network requirements.
  • Preparing detailed technical implementation plans to provide integrated solutions.
  • Researching and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Additional Duties

The Network Operations Administrator will also:
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and management of routing and switching infrastructure.
  • Design and maintain secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) services.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot voice, data, and transmission networks.
  • Participate in LAN/WAN exercises and provide support as needed.
  • Be prepared for potential shift work to meet mission requirements.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • A DoD security clearance at the TS or higher level is mandatory.
  • High School Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience, or a BS/BA with 2 years of experience, or an MS/MA with 0-2 years of experience. Significant relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • At least two years of progressive experience in network implementation and administration.
  • Possession of DoDD 01-M IAT II certification and one of the following: CCNA, CC DevNet Associate, or Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA).
