Position Summary:
Poly-America, L.P. is in search of an Inventory Management Specialist to become a vital part of our Shipping/Receiving team. As a leader in the production of various polyethylene products, including premium trash bags, construction films, and geomembrane liners, Poly-America stands as the foremost recycler and compounder of polyethylene globally.

Key Responsibilities:


The selected candidate will oversee the processing of orders along with all related documentation, manage transfer orders, organize material staging, handle material returns, and conduct cycle counts efficiently to guarantee precise and timely inventory management.

Duties include receiving, unpacking, and distributing goods. The role also involves processing and documenting returns in accordance with established protocols. If necessary, the candidate will rectify discrepancies in the inventory system. This position requires the operation of a forklift across various facilities, exposing the employee to outdoor weather conditions.

While prior shipping and receiving experience is advantageous, we are open to considering exceptional candidates without this background. The ideal applicant must demonstrate strong communication abilities, effectively monitor and manage inventory, and resolve discrepancies utilizing available resources. Proficiency in computer systems and a quick adaptability to required software are essential. Experience in the manufacturing sector is beneficial.

Required Qualifications:
Familiarity with ordering supplies, equipment, and inventory management practices.

Capability to reconcile stock counts with reporting data.

Analytical skills to identify and resolve issues.

Ability to receive, stock, and deliver goods efficiently.

Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs.

Comfortable working in outdoor and non-climate controlled environments.

Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to document information accurately.

Strong organizational skills.

Basic mathematical skills are necessary for accurate counting and unit conversion.

Successful completion of a drug screening is a prerequisite for this role.
