Job Summary:

The Veterinary Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the veterinary team at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a key member of the hospital team, you will assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing quality care to pets, while ensuring the safety of clients, pets, and associates.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient care, including preparing exam rooms and assisting with procedures
  • Communicate effectively with clients and veterinary team members
  • Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, exam rooms, and labs
  • Participate in educational programs to enhance knowledge and skills
  • Support the hospital team in achieving quality care and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to perform all required skills of NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant programs
