Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydrologist to join our team as a Site Inspector. As a Site Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site inspections to assess the condition of infrastructure and facilities
  • Review and analyze professional architectural/engineering reports and designs or as-built plans
  • Develop scopes of work, including related code and standard requirements
  • Validate applicant-provided scopes of work, including related code and standard requirements
  • Develop and review cost estimates
  • Advise on the technical validity of claims presented under FEMA's arbitration process
  • Testify as an expert witness on FEMA's behalf, if necessary
Requirements
  • 5 years minimum of prior FEMA Public Assistance (PA) experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in site inspections of Large Commercial Construction infrastructures
  • 1-2 years of experience in site inspections in any of the following eligible types of work:
    • Restoration of Roads, Bridges, Water control Facilities, Buildings, Equipment, Utilities, Debris Removal, Schools, Churches, Parks, and recreation centers
  • The ability to obtain and maintain FEMA Public Trust
  • A United States Citizenship
  • The ability to maintain FEMA specific trainings
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • The ability to deploy to any location in Zone 2 with a 24-48 hour notice after Task Order Award
  • The ability to go on 6-12 month deployments at a minimum
  • Experience and comfortability using a Smartphone
  • The ability to work independently, in a team environment, and under stressful conditions with tight deadlines
Desired Qualifications
  • PE - Professional Engineer
  • Experience managing Site Inspectors
  • Knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program/Policy
  • Trained in the new Public Assistance delivery model
  • Active FEMA badge
