We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Counselor to join our team at Teksky. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in personal injury litigation and contribute to the success of our organization.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Counselor, you will be responsible for providing expert counsel to clients, managing legal proceedings, and overseeing a team of paralegals and administrative staff.
- Client Counseling: Assess client situations, determine available legal options, and recommend the best course of action to achieve a successful outcome.
- Court Appearances: Appear in court on behalf of clients, present legal arguments, and argue motions during hearings and trials.
- Team Management: Supervise and provide guidance to paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Administrative Tasks: Take responsibility for managing administrative staff, including overseeing client invoicing, billing records, scheduling client meetings, and ensuring all necessary tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Drafting Documents: Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and other correspondence to ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines.
- Litigation Management: Handle all aspects of personal injury litigation, from initial case filing through trial, arbitration, or settlement negotiations.
To succeed as a Senior Counselor, you must have:
- Experience: A proven track record in representing clients in arbitrations and trials, with a strong understanding of personal injury law and litigation procedures.
- Qualifications: Membership with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) is required.
- Skill Set: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Education: A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
