Position Overview:

Registered Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive adult respiratory care, including oxygen and aerosol therapies, airway management, arterial punctures, and ventilation management protocols.
  • Collaborate with a supportive medical team, including critical care physicians and hospitalists, to optimize patient care through our respiratory consult model.
  • Provide services in specialized areas such as Level III NICU and Heart Center, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques including Super Dimensional Bronchoscopy and Endobronchial Ultrasound Bronchoscopy.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited respiratory care technology program with a valid North Carolina Respiratory Care license.
  • Possession of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials; RRT preferred. A minimum of three to five years of clinical respiratory care experience is advantageous.
  • Completion of clinical life safety certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) is required prior to the conclusion of the probationary period, with a preference for candidates with adult critical care experience.
