Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement statistical models to evaluate residential mortgage performance and consumer loan behaviors, focusing on borrower prepayment and default patterns.
  • Construct advanced predictive models for mortgage and consumer loan prepayments or defaults, with a minimum of two years dedicated to mortgage default modeling.
  • Utilize programming skills to implement mortgage and consumer loan models in C++.
  • Develop statistical models employing various methodologies, including logistic regression, hierarchical modeling, structural models, and mixed models.
  • Apply non-linear modeling techniques, such as piecewise linear regressions and variable transformations.
  • Analyze loan-level mortgage data sourced from recognized data providers.
  • Conduct statistical analyses and develop models using standard statistical software packages.
  • Oversee project management activities and mentor junior analysts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in mortgage modeling, with a focus on statistical analysis.
  • Proven experience in supervising teams and managing projects.
