Position Overview
The Cost Accountant plays a vital role in the Finance Department, engaging in the daily assessment and analysis of all expenses associated with the manufacturing facility, under the direct supervision of the Senior Cost Accountant.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and input daily production and consumption data.
- Conduct financial verification of monthly inventory counts for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Audit and maintain documentation from all cycle counts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with inventory counting frequency and completeness standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage the approval, tracking, and filing processes to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze data to identify discrepancies in product costs by reviewing manufacturing variances and examining routings or bills of materials.
- Assist in the analysis and implementation of standard costs as required.
- Ensure that all active raw materials and intermediate items have accurate standard costs.
- Maintain the integrity of standard costs and item attributes that influence costing or standard accounting processes.
- Support the annual budgeting process with the development of standard cost rates.
- Prepare other monthly and quarterly financial reports as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounting or Manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency with various ERP systems, preferably Sage or JDE.
- Strong PC skills, including advanced spreadsheet functions (e.g., Pivot Tables, Lookups, Formulas).
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk regularly, with occasional lifting of 0-15 pounds.

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional hours outside of this schedule as needed.
