Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Social Worker to join our team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. As a member of our care management team, you will play a critical role in assisting with the management of patient care from admission through discharge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the psychological, financial, and discharge planning needs of patients and families
  • Provide information, support, counseling, and referrals to other levels of care and appropriate resources
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Document and communicate with team members, physicians, and patient families regarding patient concerns and care coordination
Requirements
  • Masters' degree in Social Work
  • Licensed by an Arkansas Professional Board as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW)
  • 2 years of experience in an Acute Care Hospital Setting
  • Experience in Case Management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) or American Case Management (ACM) certification
Working Conditions

This is a PRN position, which requires working a minimum of 24 hours per month. The schedule will be determined by departmental staffing needs and may include weekends and holidays.

Benefits

PRN staff are not eligible for benefits, but may contribute to pre-tax supplemental Retirement.
