Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. As a Long Term Care professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
  • Monitor residents' conditions, record significant incidents, and notify supervisors and family members as needed.
  • Take vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, to detect deviations from normal.
  • Assign duties and coordinate nursing services to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Consult with supervisors on nursing problems and facility policies.
  • Report complaints or unusual problems to supervisors and assist with completion of facility reports.
  • Participate in orientation and training of nursing personnel.
  • Evaluate nursing activities to ensure resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
  • Assume responsibility for unit narcotics and maintain records.
  • Inspect resident rooms and the unit for cleanliness and comfort.
  • Document admissions, discharges, transfers, and incident reports per facility policies.
  • Participate in care plan process, complete nursing assessments, and resident care plans accurately and timely.
  • Complete special projects and audits at the direction of supervisors or directors.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect.
Requirements
  • Current LPN/LVN experience required.
  • Experience with IV starts and phlebo draws/skills a plus.
  • Travel experience encouraged.
  • BLS (AHA or ARC) certification required.
  • Covid vaccine strongly encouraged (mandated to wear a mask if declining).
  • Ability to move up to 25 lbs. and frequently lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
  • Must be able and willing to work the set schedule created by the Facility.
  • Must be able and willing to work weekend shifts.
Certification Requirements
  • BLS (AHA) certification.
State License Requirements
  • Michigan LPN license.

Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility is a 133-bed long term care facility located in Bellaire, MI. We are owned and operated by the residents of Antrim County under the direction of the Antrim County Human Services Board, Governing Board of Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.
