Job Summary

As a key member of our culinary team, the Specialty Chef will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food and service in our specialty restaurant. This role requires a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality of food.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure they are knowledgeable about menu items, ingredients, and cooking methods.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of food and supplies to minimize waste and ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other expenses to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and quality of service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related field preferred.
  • 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field; 2 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related field preferred.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and training staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
What We Offer

Marriott International offers a competitive salary range of $66,000 to $90,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
