Job Summary

The Inventory Specialist is a critical role at AYR Wellness, responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels in our dispensaries. This position drives sales by ensuring our online and in-store menus are up-to-date and stocked with the latest products. The Inventory Specialist must adhere to all AYR policies and regulatory requirements, working closely with the Retail Inventory Manager and Dispensary Store Manager to achieve our goals.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate counts of all inventories through daily counts and reconciliations as needed
  • Ensure all product is properly tagged and accompanied by necessary paperwork, adhering to state and local regulations
  • Reconcile inventory to ensure accurate data transfer to the state system and identify any malfunctions
  • Keep a clean and organized shop/storage area for unencumbered access to products, sinks, cleaning areas, and workstations
  • Maintain delivery records and invoices according to the General Manager's methods and state regulations
  • Ensure all items meet quality standards and specifications
  • Generate purchase orders or transfers to fulfill sale order requirements
  • Run and maintain inventory level reports
Qualifications
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others, with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies
  • Able to pass background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies
  • Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Equivalent combination of work/education experience accepted
  • 1-3 years experience in a retail environment

Working Conditions

Work is performed in several locations, including a cannabis cultivation and production facility. The working area may be odorous at times and loud due to fans and filtration systems, fluctuating between cold and warm temperatures. Involves frequent contact with staff, occasional interaction with law enforcement and State inspectors, and may require occasional travel to locations outside of AYR's network.

Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds, stand for long periods, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach.
