Job Summary
International Flavors & Fragrances is seeking a skilled Perfumery Technician to join our Fragrance Technician team. As a Perfumery Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our Fine Fragrance perfumers by compounding materials in a prescribed formula and assisting with lab workload when assigned by the supervisor.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for:
- Compounding essential oils and preparing finished samples
- Maintaining a perfumer's log of corporate numbers and targets
- Maintaining a log of approvals and rejections of batches made by the lab
- Continually renewing raw materials and solutions to keep them within their shelf life
- Properly maintaining the lab
- Helping other labs when assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Industry knowledge: Technical knowledge of liquid compounding, including raw materials, their handling, use, and storage
- Computer skills: Proficiency in basic computer knowledge and comfort using automated systems and computer task management tools
- Ability to start and complete tasks in a dynamic environment, adapting to changes and priorities due to customer requests
- Ability to give and receive verbal and written communications
- Physical demands: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and navigate a stairwell multiple times per day
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; High-School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years previous lab experience
- SAP knowledge a plus
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation ($50,000 - $60,000) is based on a variety of factors including work experience, skills, certifications, and location. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Language and Location
Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication, is required. This position is based in the United States, and we are not able to sponsor visas.
