We are seeking an experienced Machine Builder to join our team at Tradesmen International, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI.

Job Summary

The Machine Builder will be responsible for performing assembly of machines and/or purchased components, building components pertinent to the functions of the machines, and safely operating a forklift and overhead crane.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly of machines and/or purchased components
  • Build components pertinent to the functions of the machines
  • Wire junction boxes
  • Safely operate a forklift and overhead crane
  • Work from machine assembly blueprints using hand and power tools
  • Use a drill press, small mill, and band saw
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of machine building experience
  • Knowledge of welding, fabrication of heavy rigging
  • Able to read blueprints & schematics
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Measuring skills and can accurately read precision measurements
  • Ability to work independently without supervision on simple assemblies
  • Basic shop math skills, computer skills in Word, Excel, and email
  • Basic tools of the trade
