We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
In this role, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and perform focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
You will electronically document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
This position does not involve making disability determinations, which are made by the United States Veterans Administration.
The role performs Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, on average.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
This is an in-person position that requires independent work.
About the Role- Must be interested in performing Independent Medical Assessments.
- Able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
- Skilled in time management, able to stay on task and meet requirements.
- Must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- Proficiently use a computer.
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- $63+ per hour.
- Training and continued support provided.
- Health Insurance options available.
- Computer supplied.
- Typical day: 3 to 5 patients a day.
- Opportunity to serve the Veteran community.
- Predictable schedule during normal business hours.
- All work performed in a clinical setting.
