KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform all essential duties of an Entry Level/Intern Project Engineer.
- Attend and document project meetings, ensuring accurate minutes are recorded.
- Establish and maintain an organized electronic filing system.
- Update and manage all sets of drawings, specifications, and logs.
- Support the preparation of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
- Assist in updating and maintaining the master CPM schedule.
- Evaluate and comprehend basic construction methods and practices.
- Maintain a site-specific safety plan and pre-task planning processes, including audits and training sessions.
- Distribute all project documents to subcontractors and keep document logs updated.
- Assess field issues and document Project Change Instructions (PCI).
- Prepare and maintain PCI logs using the CMiC system.
- Review, analyze, and forward submittals for approval.
- Maintain submittal logs and procurement documentation.
- Perform expediting functions as required.
- Verify correct coding on timesheets and Accounts Payable Workflows.
- Confirm original estimate quantities for labor cost reports.
- Report quantities in place and maintain labor cost reports.
- Prepare and document additional work orders as necessary.
- Review and compile change order submissions and quantity surveys.
- Maintain PCI logs within the CMiC system.
- Establish and uphold a Quality Management system.
- Keep a progress photo album for project documentation.
- Compile contract closeout documents, including operation and maintenance manuals and as-built drawings.
- Maintain record set drawings for project reference.
- Document punch list tasks for completion.
- Perform basic functions related to Building Information Modeling and model administration.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or completion of a Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a construction-related role, or equivalent.
- Preferred internship experience in a construction setting.
- Field experience, such as carpentry, is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of construction cost accounting principles.
- Foundational estimating and scheduling skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and self-initiate tasks.
- Advanced drafting and computer skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with virtual construction technology systems is preferred.
Annual Salary Range:
$63,000 - $95,400.00
