Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality diagnostic exams after verification of patient identification and physician order.
  • Acquire an accurate patient history and document in the medical record.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Perform radiographic and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods for patient's physical ability.
  • Effectively communicate on an inter/intra-department level with customer service, administrative, medical staff, and peers.
  • Utilize ALARA standards for minimizing radiation exposure to patient, staff, and self.
  • Provide procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam.
  • Contribute to the effective operations of the department by assisting fellow employees and staying in compliance with quality assurance and quality control.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
  • Training gained at student level.
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required.
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist 180 Days required.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required.
