Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification and physician orders, providing procedural information and education to patients and families as needed.
  • Acquire accurate patient histories and document in medical records.
  • Perform CT and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods, placing IVs as required for contrast media injection.
  • Operate CT imaging equipment, performing quality control and quality assurance testing, and monitoring patients during procedures to ensure safety.
  • Ensure STAT requests are relayed to radiologists in a timely manner and maintain a clean and properly stocked exam room.
  • Utilize hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PACs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
  • 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and additional CT certification required within 1 year of hire.
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers from The American Heart Association and/or The American Red Cross.
