We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Control Specialist to join our team at MarCom LLC.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiation protection and experience performing radiological surveys, monitoring, and waste management.

This role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The salary for this position is approximately $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

This Radiological Control Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Performing radiological surveys for free release of material at RBA
  • Conducting personnel surveys for contamination
  • Surveys for contamination control, airborne radioactivity control, and surveys to categorize waste for shipment
  • Providing radiological work coverage, writing radiological control work permits (RWP), enforcing radiological control requirements, ensuring ALARA principles are followed during work, and responding to radiological emergencies as required
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • DOE Core Certification
  • Vocational college certification or equivalent in radiation protection
  • Two years of field experience performing radiological work coverage and monitoring either in an NRC or DOE regulated activity
