Job Overview

Position: Industrial Electrician

Shifts: Two Available - 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am

Aegis Worldwide is looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to become part of a manufacturing team in the Chicago area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capable of diagnosing, installing, replacing, and maintaining high voltage systems ranging from 110v to 480v.
  • Evaluate and repair or replace control systems and power distribution boards.
  • Install various electrical components, including wiring, motors, controls, and lighting fixtures.
  • Proficient in utilizing voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical measurement tools for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Ability to read and create schematics and wiring diagrams for electrical panels and controllers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting within an industrial setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in industries such as Packaging, Food, Pharmaceuticals, Beverages, or similar environments adhering to GMP regulations.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including AC/DC motors, 480v systems, and PLCs.
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools and basic machine repair knowledge.
  • Familiarity with welding, light brazing, and soldering techniques.
  • Experience in PLC programming is advantageous, particularly with ladder relay logic and the ability to interpret schematics and layout wiring.
  • Competence in reading and understanding mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints.
