Position Overview:

The IT Support Specialist will serve as the primary contact for employees encountering technical difficulties, seeking information, or requiring access to resources. This role demands exceptional customer service skills, with support delivered through various channels including in-person interactions, digital communications, and automated systems. The IT Support Specialist is a vital contributor to our team, playing a key role in achieving our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Active Directory management, including account setup and permission configurations.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex end-user issues effectively.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Maintain and upgrade the physical server environment, ensuring timely security updates.
  • Manage a cloud-based backup solution, executing restores as required.
  • Administer a virtual machine network, providing necessary maintenance in a Citrix environment.
  • Assist and troubleshoot issues for a user base of 20-25 individuals.
  • Monitor and enhance network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Oversee licensing for various software applications, including O365, CAD/CAM, and Adobe.
  • Provide expert guidance on infrastructure components, including selection and installation.
  • Collaborate with vendors on various IT-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Technology is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a technical support role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts such as DHCP, DNS, and RAS.
  • Proficient in Windows Operating Systems 7 & 10; familiarity with newer versions is advantageous.
  • Experience with Windows Servers, capable of troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and O365.
  • Strong understanding of file share permissions and excellent documentation skills.
  • Exceptional root cause analysis and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical staff effectively.
