Established in North Central Texas, a respected healthcare system is seeking an accomplished ASCP Medical Lab Technician/Technologist for a full-time blood bank position.

This opportunity requires a generalist with a strong background in blood bank procedures, including antibody ID. The ideal candidate must be certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or have the potential to be considered for this role. At least 2 years of laboratory experience are required.

Responsibilities of the Medical Lab Technician/Medical Technologist:

  • Compliance with laboratory protocol and procedures.
  • Comfortable working under pressure with larger facilities' workloads.
  • Contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment by performing laboratory tests across all lab departments, including Blood Bank and Microbiology.
  • Proficient in operating various types of machinery, lab equipment, and complex computer programs.

Requirements of the Medical Lab Technician/Medical Technologist:

  • Graduation from an accredited MLT or MT program.
  • Experience working in Blood Bank, Microbiology, and Core departments.
  • Certification as an MLT or MT by the ASCP or AMT.
