Job Summary and Qualifications
As a PRN Interventional Radiology Specialist, you will assist physicians with minimally invasive procedures and provide diagnostic support by utilizing fluoroscopic equipment to perform scans on patients in accordance with established practices and standards.

In addition:
You will prepare equipment, monitor inventory, and maintain the cleanliness of the procedure room and work area.
You are expected to deliver patient care in a professional and courteous manner, explaining all procedures to the patient. Conduct physical assessments by checking IVs, catheters, tubing, etc.
You will assist the radiologist in administering medications and contrast agents intravenously.
It is your responsibility to uphold sterile techniques during Interventional Radiology procedures.
Real-time review of scans for technical accuracy (i.e., technical quality, correct anatomical positioning, annotation, etc.).
You must complete the verification process in PACS promptly.

What qualifications you will need:
Graduate of an AMA accredited program.
Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Ability to perform Interventional Procedures.
You should be able to effectively communicate and manage within a service line environment.
Two years of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
