Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Scheduler II - Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient care between the physician office, patient, and various hospital departments. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing excellent customer service with good verbal and written communication skills
- Coordinating patient care between the physician office, patient, and various hospital departments
- Reviewing charts for accuracy in scheduling advanced appointment types
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy and meeting department productivity requirements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High School Completion equivalent or higher
- Basic Medical Terminology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced medical office environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task across multiple hospital platforms and applications
Preferred Qualifications
We prefer candidates with:
- A.D. in Business or health-related field
- Infusion scheduling experience for Oncology or Oncology coding and billing
- Office assistant or clerical experience
- At least 1 year of Epic/EMR experience
