Obstetrics-Gynecology Clerkship Director

Job Summary:

Rocky Vista University is seeking a highly qualified Obstetrics-Gynecology Clerkship Director to join our team. As a key member of our clinical education department, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of the 3rd year Obstetrics-Gynecology core curriculum, including clinical assessment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with Obstetrics-Gynecology core clinical faculty and healthcare executives in the RVU-MCOM regions to advance quality Obstetrics-Gynecology clinical rotations.
  • Recruit clinical faculty to create and support quality Obstetrics-Gynecology clinical rotations.
  • Work in conjunction with the Associate Dean/Clinical Affairs and other medical educators to develop appropriate faculty development for the Obstetrics-Gynecology adjunct faculty.
  • Participate in clerkship rotation site visits and inspections to ensure quality student experiences and faculty compliance to the Clinical Education Manual.
  • Assist in the development of assessment tools, including standardized patients, for evaluation of Obstetrics-Gynecology competencies.
  • Serve as the liaison between RVU-MCOM Clinical Education and Obstetrics-Gynecology Preceptors.
  • Help oversee evaluations of adjunct clinical faculty for clerkship rotations in the assigned region(s).
  • Assure the advancement and integration of high standards for ethical and professional behavior in all aspects of RVU-MCOM, students, and personnel.
  • Participate in institutional and committee meetings as designated by the Clinical Dean or Campus Dean.
  • Participate in student interviews, career advising, and residency match support.
  • Help build a culture that respects, values, and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
