Pediatrics Clerkship Director Position

Rocky Vista University in Billings, MT has an opening for a Pediatrics Clerkship Director (Part-Time) position. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of the 3rd year Pediatrics core curriculum, including clinical assessment. They will also be responsible for recruiting clinical faculty to create and support quality Pediatrics clinical rotations, and working in conjunction with the Associate Dean/Clinical Affairs and other medical educators to develop appropriate faculty development for the Pediatrics adjunct faculty.
Responsibilities:- Develop and oversee all aspects of the 3rd year Pediatrics core curriculum, including clinical assessment.
- Recruit clinical faculty to create and support quality Pediatrics clinical rotations.
- Work in conjunction with the Associate Dean/Clinical Affairs and other medical educators to develop appropriate faculty development for the Pediatrics adjunct faculty.
- Participate in clerkship rotation site visits and inspections to ensure quality student experiences and for faculty compliance to the Clinical Education Manual.
- Work in conjunction with Clinical Education leadership in developing a strong didactic component for the core Pediatrics clerkship.
- Assist in the development of assessment tools, including standardized patients, for evaluation of Pediatrics competencies.
- Serve as the liaison between RVU-MCOM Clinical Education and Pediatrics Preceptors.
- Help oversee evaluations of adjunct clinical faculty for clerkship rotations, in the assigned region(s).
- Assure the advancement and integration of high standards for ethical and professional behavior in all aspects for RVU-MCOM, students, and personnel.
- Participate in institutional and committee meetings as designated by the Clinical Dean or Campus Dean.
- Participate in student interviews, career advising, and residency match support.
- Help build a culture that respects, values, and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
